Basic Summary:
Haruto's story is set within the Digimon universe (outside of any canon series, but taking lore/inspiration from Adventure and Survive). His status as a Chosen Child is an error, resulting from the turn of the millennium. His Partner Digimon, Fanbeemon, is quite literally the Millennium Bug, hatched from a Digitama on 01/01/2000.
Basic Character:
Haruto is an introverted boy with more hobbies than friends. Despite his quiet longing for friendship, he finds himself incapable of truly connecting to others through some mix of his own fears and naturally awkward personality. Sometimes, he'd much rather be an insect in the ground than a person. Polite and soft-spoken, his personality can falter into something unstable at times, though he tends to retain a passive disposition. Beneath his exterior, he has a good sense of humour and feels deeply passionate about a number of things. He believes he will be reborn as an evening cicada.
Hobbies & Interests:
He retains many of his childhood interests for life. Some examples being: entomology; bug-catching; fishing; using the internet; urban legends; video games and the arcade; watching soccer and baseball; tokusatsu TV shows & movies; 90's Japanese rock music.

Haruto's beloved Partner Digimon is Fanbeemon.
(I use the original English spelling because I'm more used to it!) The pair have a close relationship and understand one another entirely. Fanbeemon is Haruto's best friend, and a fragment of his soul.

BABY II: PUROROMON
A Larva Digimon who uses his tiny stinger to attack; this is the form Haruto first meets his Digimon in upon entering the Digital World. Puroromon may be weak, but he's full of determination, helping him evolve to fight Kuwagamon.
CHILD: FANBEEMON
An Insect Digimon with the Virus Attribute. Fanbeemon is cheerful, sociable, and gets along well with other Digimon, often resolving things with his friendly nature rather than fighting. This is the stage he's most often found in.
ADULT: WASPMON
A Cyborg Digimon. Fanbeemon never hesitates to evolve to his Adult stage when the time calls for it, willing to fight in spite of his pacifist nature. He first evolves to Waspmon to protect Haruto from Raremon. Assertive and precise, his Special Moves are Turbo Stinger, and Bear Buster.
PERFECT: CANNONBEEMON
The massive Cyborg Digimon. Cannonbeemon is incredibly powerful, though his size can attract immediate unwanted attention in the hostile Digital World, meaning this evolution is rarely used. Waspmon first evolves to his Perfect stage during a confrontation with Nanomon and Chimairamon.
ULTIMATE: TIGERVESPAMON
A Cyborg Digimon that excels in solo-combat. Tiger Vespamon is first achieved when fighting in the Real World, after Haruto tells his Digimon that he loves him. His Special Move, Royal Meister, stings with twin blades.

ULTIMATE: TYRANT KABUTERIMON
The "King of Bugs". Fanbeemon Warp Evolves to this stage upon their last visit to the Digital World. Achieved without the use of a Digivice, it is his final evolution before returning to the Child stage indefinitely.
