♫~ Let's reach the heavens with our rainbow-coloured hopes and dreams.
Welcome to my Inazuma Eleven GO shrine!
My absolute, number one favourite series. The way I talk about this might sound a little overly sentimental, so if you want to laugh then that's okay! Nonetheless, these are my sincere feelings. If you take the time, then I hope you can enjoy reading all my thoughts! ♡
Inazuma Eleven GO (イナズマイレブンGO) is the direct sequel to Inazuma Eleven, taking place ten years after Inazuma Japan won the Football Frontier International tournament. Japan's reputation with soccer increased remarkably during this time, leading to an organisation known as Fifth Sector to begin controlling the sport across the country. The story follows Matsukaze Tenma, and the Raimon team as they lead a revolution to bring back the real soccer they love.
Despite being a big fan of the original Inazuma Eleven, I put off starting the sequel series for quite some time. This was up until Christmas Day 2014, when I was gifted a copy of Inazuma Eleven GO. It's a clunky, early-era 3DS game, with an unusual story and one of the most bizarre English dubs I've ever experienced. I fell in love with it right away. Although this page focuses on GO1, I'm also a huge fan of Chrono Stone and Galaxy. They'll both be mentioned here as well! ~♡

Our protagonist, Matsukaze Tenma! Tenma is a first year JHS student at Raimon, whose just made it into his very first soccer team amidst disaster! Tenma is a bit unusual; always stands up for what he believes in, and tends to express himself by humanising his very favourite sports ball. He has a talent for dribbling, since he was used to playing soccer alone throughout his childhood. He's a nice and cheerful boy, who eventually becomes the new captain of the Raimon soccer team. Oh, and a soccer ball saved his life!

Tenma is a character that I love collecting merchandise of, and my in-real-life shrine can also be found documented on this site. Feel free to take a look! I've been casually collecting Tenma's merch for over ten years now!
I find it so difficult to answer this question. Plain and simple, Tenma is everything I could ever want in a character. He's a boy that just wants to have fun and play freely, but the universe denies him this simple pleasure by any bizarre means necessary. You wanna play soccer? That's too bad... Wait. Is that aliens? Everyone has days like that. Right? He feels to me like a character that would be much happier if he weren't the protagonist of his story, and I find that really interesting running alongside an upbeat shounen hero. Especially when his character symbolises personal freedoms and such. Nevertheless, Tenma keeps optimistically going with the belief that no matter what, "Things will work out somehow!" He's kind and worries about the other people around him, but he's strong-willed and sticks to his values and what he believes in, no matter what. He motivates his teammates - not with any of his particular skillsets, but with his sincere, straightforward and unfiltered love and passion for what he does. I love all of these things about him... Storm, tornado, hurricane. Even so, you go on!
HOLY ROAD
DECEMBER 2011
Discussed in detail over the page, but this is my favourite in terms of the story. I really enjoy stories where characters fight against impossible odds. The concept of a bunch of junior high schoolers taking down a nationwide cult is just wonderful. I love both the anime and game equally, and although the games had a lot more depth to them, I think the Dragon Link match in the anime is done just perfectly.
CHRONO STONE
DECEMBER 2012
I prefer the game to the anime! Exploring all the different time periods was a lot of fun there. I appreciate that Chrono Stone goes off-the-walls crazy without restraint. This is the game I've played for the most time out of the three.
GALAXY
DECEMBER 2013
I'm a rare Galaxy lover. The characters have fursonas. I love the new cast in this one, they're really funny in this games version of the LINE chat. Mirroring Chrono Stone, I actually prefer the ending in the anime adaptation to the game, but both are really great. I always knew Inazuma Eleven as "the sports series with aliens", so seeing a series with ACTUAL aliens this time felt like a great send-off. I can appreciate Inazuma Eleven when it's more grounded, but it wouldn't be the same without the bizarre-factor. GO went all-out with this. The anime has such awesome ending songs

"The reason I'm able to be here is because you were there, Matsukaze. No, because it was you! Tenma!"
Okay, I'm not usually a big shipper, but it would be insincere to leave this off my shrine. Tenma and Tsurugi are my number one pair of all time!! They have my favourite type of relationship and it makes me very happy. Sakura calls them super best friends in Galaxy. That's the best way to be, right? Something much more beautiful than a casual friendship, but not watered down to a couple... A dynamic only two brains can fully understand; it's super best friends, of course! I really like how they admire one another equally and understand each other's way of thinking. Tenma is certainly Tsurugi's savior, who brought him out of a dark path, but he isn't reduced to his role in that. I don't know what to say. They're like if two autistic girls fell in love. That sort of magic thing where you can share your beloved hobby and play together. Sports anime does a good job of creating that feeling to me... I hope they can remain super best friends for the very rest of time. ♡
