SEPTEMBER 27-29, 2024: We visited Challaborough Bay in Devon and stayed over the weekend in a cottage by the sea. Despite raining all week before, the weather on Saturday was very nice and we walked all around the coast. There were big fireworks at Burgh Island on Saturday night that we could see from our window! On Sunday there was a huge storm, so we stayed cosy by the fire where it was nice listening to the wind and watching the big waves. It was a really nice and relaxing holiday. Animals we saw: Bloody-nosed Beetle, Shieldbug, European Rabbits, Common Periwinkle, A whole lot of Common Limpets, Common Mussels, Domestic Cat, Domestic Dogs, Gulls, Swallows, Crows. 
There were lots of wild rabbits up on the hills around the coast, and on the clear night you could see their silhouettes up there! I wish we could have stayed for longer, so I hope we can go back some day soon.
NOVEMBER 19, 2024: Not quite a holiday or a notable day out, but a very special Snow Day! A coworker of mine messaged me early in the morning to say "SNOW DAY!" so I looked outside right away to see the snow falling in buckets from the sky. I quickly bundled up warm and went for a walk at 9AM to enjoy the snow as it was still falling. It was so peaceful and lovely. It doesn't snow very often here, so it was such a nice
surprise. I'm not a big fan of wintertime or cold weather, but snow still makes me feel really excited, enough to add a journal entry here, so that I can always remember it. I don't know if Tenma liked getting snowed on this much, but I'd like to think he enjoyed it too! Since he's from Okinawa, I'm sure it's exciting for him to see the snow as well!! It was a short but sweet and special snow day.
DECEMBER 11, 2024: Today was my work's very lovely Christmas Meal! We went to a really nice and cosy venue, and it was such a nice time. The place had a kid's zone with crane machines that everyone went a bit crazy over. It was really funny! My manager (and good friend!) won the little soccer ball for Tenma you can see in the photo with him! Her card actually got blocked from how many times she played the crane game-- 
The Christmas decorations were so pretty, and I think Tenma looks really cute with them. After the meal, we went back to our workplace and I was gifted so many nice things, I almost cried. It might seem too simple to be worth journalling, but getting to spend time with kind people, and have such great fun really meant a lot to me. I'm extremely thankful!
